Sonja Franzmann
I believe that a healthy body should be everybody’s first priority in life. The key to improving one’s health and fitness is to start from the inside out, and to make achievable goals along the way. It is important to enjoy the journey towards your health goals and not just the results – if you can’t find a way to enjoy your training you’re not going to stick with it. This belief not only guides my training philosophy but also my career choice as my own interest in a healthy lifestyle led to my career in fitness and nutrition.

Fitness and Nutrition go hand in hand – you cannot truly feel the benefits of one without the other, being both a Personal Fitness Trainer and Nutrition Consultant constantly reinforces this to me.  Experience, education and a valuable training philosophy allow for development of specific programs for clients that not only achieve results, but are also fun along the way.

Take this opportunity to choose a professional with a genuine interest in all people, to educate, motivate, and move you today.

Miss Fit Philosophy
I have concluded from years of fitness and nutrition consulting that habit is what determines success. When physical activity and healthy eating become a routine and part of your daily life, you’ve made it. Health is not a quick fix that can be bought or reached in two weeks. It’s a lifestyle choice you consciously make and follow to reach lifelong success in health and wellness.

Over the years, I have found the most effective and beneficial results have come from a simple approach towards changing fitness and/or nutrition habits. I practice, as well as teach, a “Back to Basics” philosophy to reach a healthier lifestyle.

For example, striving to choose foods in their natural state (no processing, packaging) is important. Also, activity and exercise do not have to involve costly gym memberships and/or expensive equipment. I teach my clients how to exercise with minimal or no equipment, so if they’re stuck in a closet they can still workout…no excuses!

Keeping health goals simple and realistic always proves to be the winning strategy.

Testimonials

“With an 8 month old and a 21/2 year old, it’s difficult to get to the gym to workout. Having Sonja come into my home and plan a workout for me has been great! I find working out very enjoyable with Sonja encouraging me, but not pressuring me to do more than I am capable of doing on that particular day. She can really kick my butt in her calm, easy going way!”

“For around 2 years Sonja has been our personal trainer and nutrition consultant, working with us on a weekly basis. In addition to being very knowledgeable in her field, she quickly understood our goals and has continually provided advice and varied programs. She uses a holistic approach, incorporating flexibility, strength, posture, balance, and endurance along with promoting a healthy eating regime. She is encouraging without being ‘soft’ on us and constantly motivates us to move through the difficult movements. Most importantly – Sonja ensures we are doing the moves correctly and reinforces how it will benefit us. The results have been significant. We are leaner, more toned and far fitter than before. There are many trainers out there but for us, Sonja has responded to our needs in a carefully planned way that has addressed our personal goals. She listens to us and addresses the issues we raise.”
Rene & Donna B

“I feel positive after a workout session, it really affects my mood. I didn’t think exercise and healthy eating would change my mood as it has changed my body. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, you have been such an influence on me by teaching information that actually makes sense, and is practical and useful.”
John M

“Since the birth of our second child, Tania and I had been trying unsuccessfully to get back into a lifestyle that could accomodate our need to be fit and active while also managing a house with two children. We went the route of fad diets, quick weight loss schemes and desperate pleas to fate, with little to nothing to show for it. Sonja provided us with meal planning that allowed us to enjoy all of our favourite foods without sacrificing our taste buds and an exercise plan that we could work into a day filled with work, home, and family.”
Jeff & Chloe F

“Sonja is engaging and personable. I look forward to my sessions with her and am grateful for the change I see in my eating habits and fitness levels. Even my friends and colleagues have noted the difference. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. Excellent career choice Sonja, you are really good at it. Thank you!”
