It is very important to eat within an hour of waking up to keep your metabolism running efficiently. A great way to have a healthy breakfast even on the go in the car, is a breakfast smoothie. Just buy a tupperware container from Superstore and a pack of straws and voila…you have a quick, healthy, portable breakfast! There are countless recipes for these great snacks/meals to choose from. This is one I use often as a snack in the morning when I’m in the car driving to a clients home. It is a snack because it is only 200 calories, to make it into a meal just double your ingredients accordingly.
Breakfast Smoothie
6 ice cubes
1/2 cup milk
1/2 banana
1/4 cup frozen berries
11/2 scoops whey protein powder (20g)
Blend ice first, then add remaining ingredients and puree.
